Big Brother 27: Kelley Jorgensen Considers Volunteering for the Block in Bold Game Move

In a surprising twist of strategy during Week 1 of Big Brother 27, houseguest Kelley Jorgensen raised eyebrows when she entertained the idea of volunteering to go on the eviction block—a move she framed as both brave and potentially game-defining.

Kelley Questions Loyalty

In a quiet conversation with fellow houseguest Katherine, Kelley initiated a subtle loyalty test. She asked Katherine how she would vote in hypothetical scenarios—if it were Kelley versus either Isaiah (Zay) or Amy on the block. Katherine, caught off guard, hesitated before admitting she’d likely vote to evict Zay. Kelley appreciated the honesty, saying that hesitation showed more sincerity than quick, scripted answers.

“You don’t know until a minute. You don’t know until we’re walking down,” Kelley remarked, highlighting how volatile the game can be from moment to moment.

A Calculated Risk: Kelley Talks Strategy with Vince

Kelley later had a game-heavy conversation with current Head of Household Vince, discussing his limited nomination options. With Vince hesitant to nominate Jimmy or Adrian—fearing it could hurt his standing in the house—Kelley floated the idea of putting herself on the block instead.

Her reasoning? It could look like a bold, TV-worthy move and help solidify her identity as a player unafraid to take risks. Still, she expressed concern that surviving the block might create a narrative that she “owes” Vince something in return.

“If I take myself off and I’m here next week, it could look like, ‘Wow, Kelley owes Vince big time.’ I don’t know how the perception would be,” she admitted.

Vince agreed it could be a powerful moment if she were to go up and then win the Power of Veto, calling it a potential “heroic  TV moment.”

Game Pressure Mounting

As the two talked through possibilities, the bigger concern emerged: Ashley and Rachel’s growing power in the house. Vince expressed fear of being left vulnerable in Week 2, especially if he can’t compete in the next HOH and loses a close ally.

“If my best friend goes home week two… I go home. Pretty shitty season,” he said bluntly.

Kelley agreed and noted that even a risky move like volunteering could give her an edge—or at least momentum.

“I think it would be fun to go up. I think it would be brave to go up. And I think I would make a little bit of a name for myself.”

What This Means Moving Forward

Kelley’s bold consideration of the block paints her as a fearless strategist who’s willing to shape her narrative in a dramatic way. But in the ever-shifting world of Big Brother, bold moves can either earn respect—or become fatal errors.

Whether she actually ends up on the block or not, Kelley’s willingness to risk it all has already set her apart as one to watch this season.
