CBS has revealed the hosts of Big Brother 27’s Big Brother: Unlocked, a behind-the-scenes show that airs every other Friday night throughout the season, giving viewers inside information about the latest instalment of the beloved reality competition series. Big Brother 27 is hosted by Julie Chen Moonves and features 17 houseguests competing for $750,000.
CBS has announced that Big Brother winners Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur will host Big Brother: Unlocked, which will premiere on Friday, July 25 at 8 p.m. EDT and air every other week on CBS. The hour-long show will also stream on Paramount+.
Big Brother: Unlocked will feature Big Brother fan-favourite houseguests, mystery celebrity guests, never-before-seen footage, and recurring segments such as “BB Fantasy Draft,” “Big Move/Bad Move,” and “Binge Worthy or Cringe Worthy.” The Big Brother Instagram page will post clues to the celebrity guests who’ll be joining the panel in each episode.

Taylor and Derrick are Big Brother legends, which means that they were the perfect choices to host Big Brother: Unlocked. Taylor made history during Big Brother 24 as the first Black woman to win, and the first houseguest to win both the grand prize and America’s Favourite Houseguest. In 2023, she returned for Big Brother Reindeer Games and placed second.
Derrick is a former undercover detective who won Big Brother 16. He and his Hitmen alliance member, Cody Calafiore, dominated the game, and Derrick wasn’t put up for eviction until the Final 3. He’s widely regarded as one of the best players in Big Brother history.
Both Taylor and Derrick have had experience with analysing Big Brother seasons after their wins. Taylor returned for a Big Brother 25 episode in which she discussed the season, and also for a special episode of Big Brother 26, during which she, Cody, and Jag Bains looked back on the first three weeks of the season and revealed the next twist.
In addition, Taylor was the host of the Big Brother 26 Jury Roundtable. Derrick is the host of the Big Brother podcast, The Winners Circle, along with Cody. Both Taylor and Derrick love the game, and they’ll be enthusiastic and expert hosts of Big Brother: Unlocked.
