Just in case you missed out on what is happening in the Big Brother house, well, the HOH Lauren nominated Keanu as a replacement nominee after Morgan used the Veto to save herself from the block, and now the final nominations for week 9 are Keanu, Will and Ashley.
Keanu has already expressed a certain thirst for vengeance as a result. He is upset that he worked hard to protect Lauren when he was Head of Household, only for her to turn around and then do this to him.
So, is there any way at present for Keanu to still save himself? We know that he is moving forward with the (wrong) assumption that he could have Vince’s vote, and if he has him and Kelley, he would just need one more vote to stay around. It actually did seem like he briefly had the support of Morgan last night, at least in theory — the problem was that she still wasn’t ever going to vote against either Will or Ashley. The reality here is that he’s not going to have the numbers, no matter what, since he is such an enormous physical threat.
If there is one major question still to think about, it is whether Morgan and Vince are going to become more and more at odds as the season goes along. She is clearly trying to protect Ashley this week; meanwhile, he doesn’t want to go against Lauren. However, Morgan has told him that she wants Lauren on the block, mostly because she’s gone after her. Can Vince actually entertain both of these relationships long-term?
Big Brother 27 Keanu and Ashley Plot Against the House
As many of you may be aware at this point, Ashley and Keanu have quickly slipped into the likeable underdog roles on Big Brother 27. It is amusing to think about, mostly because this is the last alliance we would have envisioned a week ago after the Veto Ceremony blow-up.
Yet, here we are, and on some level, we do think they are serious. They each do share a love of Rachel Reilly, and even if they find each other annoying, they honestly do need one another. Keanu recognises that Lauren is his primary target now, and if she gets him out, she becomes all of a sudden a serious contender to win. The question is whether Ashley recognises that, at this point, Keanu is a bigger asset to her game than Will.
So how is that possibly the case? Well, Keanu is likely a bigger target than her moving forward, whereas Will is easy to bring to an end. His body is hurting following the Veto; he has yet to win a single competition, and he probably doesn’t have enough of a game to get votes. Ashley is an easier target with him gone, but her loyalty has been to Will for a long time. We’ve yet to see any serious evidence that she actually wants him out over Keanu, but she has to at least entertain it so that Keanu keeps her this week, which he wants to.
Now, here is what you have to hope for — that Keanu actually keeps his interest a secret, given that actively campaigning for her could prove to be a net negative for her game. Right now, she seems to have both Keanu and Morgan on her side if he wins Blockbuster, but she’d need one more, and that person is likely Vince. She needs to do some real work selling herself on why she is valuable to stay.
