For over 25 years, fans have consistently debated what seasons and players are the best, how many twists there should be in a season, and which old-school elements need to make a return (shout-out to the key wheel!). And it’s only natural that some of those charged takes come from former houseguests themselves, as they have spent summers living and breathing the entire experience.
Here is what some of the previous Houseguests said they would change according to an interview by Parade;
Ashley Hollis (BB27)
Get rid of slop, get rid of the Have-Not thing. I don’t think that is as entertaining as they think it is. I think add in punishments. I felt like Keanu’s punishment was so funny. I thought Vince’s punishment was funny. So bring back punishments, take out Have-Nots. And I would also love for them to add back the Battle Back. I think that makes for good TV. However, I’m very happy they didn’t have that in my season!
Chelsie Baham (BB26)
The biggest change I wish Big Brother made was getting rid of these three nominees. Stresses me out! Let’s go back to two and let’s play old school Big Brother, baby, okay?! Bring the key wheel back; that’s what I’m ready for!
Paul Abrahamian (BB18 & 19)
I wish that they would make things more uncomfortable for people. I enjoy when they do the weird, torturous things. I don’t remember what season it was, but they made somebody a robot for a week and locked them in a room. Hilarious! I love that kind of mental tormenting, and I love to see how human beings respond to those things. So, anything that makes people really like get pushed to the edge- more of that. And the Battle Backs are kind of bulls—t. I’m just gonna throw that in there. If you’re out, you’re out, dude! Get out of here.
Quinn Martin (BB26)
Get rid of this “A.I. Arena” nonsense! Or make it where you get an Arena pass one-time competition. So then it’s like we’re not having the same people save themselves every week. I’m bored, I’m tired! Let’s get these social threats further in the game, not the comp beasts.
Taylor Hale (BB24, Reindeer Games, Big Brother: Unlocked Cohost)
The biggest change that I wish Big Brother made is being a little less cartoony. I love how goofy the show is, I really do. But I wish that we could get a little bit more to that early era when everything was so intense and so serious and a true social experiment. Keep some of the funny stuff; it’s always been funny. But bring that gravitas back.
Vince Panaro (BB27)
I would like it to go to a nine-person jury again, and make the Blockbuster stop once the jury starts. Those are my two new-age desires.
