Big Brother season 27’s houseguests have been playing hard throughout their first week of competition, and host Julie Chen Moonves has a hot take about who’s been the smartest player navigating the house. Big Brother season 27’s host has been a part of the reality show since the beginning, making her uniquely qualified to weigh in on the mechanics of the game.
Julie believes Big Brother 27‘s Morgan Pope, a 33-year-old model and online gamer, is playing the smartest game in the house. The host explained that the connection she has with returnee Rachel Reilly is a major asset. Sharing with EW that Morgan is “laying low and not stirring up drama,” Julie also explained she’s glad to see Morgan “keeping her mouth shut.”
Morgan’s connection with Rachel, which stems from a gameplay perspective and a place of Big Brother fandom, has been interesting to watch. Julie shared that Morgan “keeping close to Rachel” is the right move, especially after seeing recently evicted houseguest Zae Friedrich leave the game after “getting in her crosshairs.” Now Morgan has to navigate another week of chaotic gameplay to stay safe.
While there are other competitors in the house who could be quick to make moves by winning competitions and taking power in the game, Morgan’s been able to observe from a distance and create a space for herself as a social player. The power she holds by simply observing is strong, and Julie is right to take note that she’s been smart so far.
