Lauren Domingue always felt that Morgan Pope would eventually come after her for being too close to Vince Panaro. And indeed, once Morgan became Head of Household during Big Brother’s double eviction night, Lauren was ushered out of the house.
Lauren’s fate was sealed after Morgan nominated her for eviction, and Keanu Soto won the Power of Veto competition, ensuring that Lauren would become the fourth member of the season 27 jury. But what does the bridal consultant make of the woman who took her out? And what are her true feelings about Vince risking her elimination and putting her on the block during his own HOH.
AOL asked Lauren all that and more, and her way to the jury house, including how she feels about being called “boring” by Zingbot, and if she still believes Vince would have taken her to the final two.
On Being Called “Boring” by Zingbot
Q: The Zingbot had some pretty harsh zings this year. How did you feel about him calling you boring?
LAUREN DOMINGUE: I didn’t take any offence to it. I know I am a more shy and reserved person, so I guess maybe that kind of could come off as a little bit boring. But I think that he just couldn’t find anything else to say, so that’s what he said.
On Her Final Two Deal With Vince
Q: You and Vince had a final two deal. Had you stayed in the house, do you think he would have stuck to his word of bringing you to that final two seat over everyone else?
LAUREN: As silly as it may seem, I do think that he would’ve taken me to final two, just because I think the only other two people that he would’ve taken were Morgan and maybe Keanu. But he told me that he doesn’t think that he could win against Morgan or Keanu, and he said that he would take me over anybody else.
But again, he put me on the block, so I don’t really know. But I do, at the end of the day — for his own sake, not necessarily for mine — I think that he would’ve taken me to the end.
On Blaming Vince for Putting Her on the Block
Q: Do you blame Vince for putting you on the block during his own Head of Household?
LAUREN: Yes, I do. I told him multiple times that he was going to make… Obviously, Morgan used the Veto and that put him in a tough spot, but he was either going to put up somebody who he was never aligned with up until this point in Ashley — who was aligned with people who actively wanted him out throughout the game.
He could have put her game in jeopardy, or he could have put his final two in jeopardy, who has saved him multiple times — and he chose to put me in jeopardy instead. Even though he guaranteed my safety, I told him that guaranteeing my safety is not putting me on the block. The only guaranteed safety I have is not being on the block.
And I guaranteed his safety last week, and unfortunately, he didn’t return that favor. But I told him, “You’re gonna make whatever decision you want to do. You can’t blame it on anybody else but yourself.” And at the end of the day, he still decided to put me up and put my game in jeopardy. It worked out for that eviction, but only because I had to save myself. And I think that if I didn’t win the Block Buster, there was a good chance I would have gone home under his HOH reign.
On Morgan as a Person and a Player
Q: You told Vince that Morgan would come after you, and then she ended up putting you on the block and you were evicted. What’s your take on Morgan as both a player and a person?
LAUREN: I think that obviously as a person, I love Morgan. I think that she’s a great girl. As a game player, I think that she is a good game player. Obviously. I mean, she has made it this far in the game. She obviously has Vince’s ear.
She told me just a few days ago, she said that she stays up until five in the morning running scenarios in her head. So she is somebody who is overly cautious of all of her moves, but is also very set in her ways.
So I feel like whenever I was talking with her just yesterday about votes and the benefits of keeping me, I feel like she was sort of very set in what she was going to do. Which obviously has worked to her favor in this point. So I do think that she has a good chance of winning the game.
On Her Strengths and Weaknesses in the Game
Q: Now that your run is over, what would you say were your biggest strengths and weaknesses in the game?
LAUREN: I think my biggest strengths in the game were the connections and relationships that I had in the house. I think that those connections and relationships took me very far and also played a part in the reason that I wasn’t on the block until day 70, even with two HOH wins. I think that was definitely a strength of mine. And also, competition wins were another strength.
But I think my biggest weakness for sure was the kind of fear of not even necessarily upsetting people, but from a game perspective, upsetting the people that would come for me because of my actions. I think if I would’ve been more set in my ways and done what I wanted to do rather than really taking in each person’s opinion, then I maybe could have gone farther. But maybe not, so I’m not entirely sure.
